Darlington Off licence, expands into Convenience store:

RAFT Off -licence of Yarm Road Darlington Recently re-opened its doors, after a major shop extension & fit out. The shop will be over twice its original size and will now not only carry an expanded range of Beer wines & sprits, but will be providing its customers with News & magazines, Grocery & a General convenience range.

When it came to fitting out the bigger sales floor, Shop owner Julie Dee chose Stockton Shop equipment Design & consultancy company Plan ~ net. Uro Ltd .

The company consists of Dennis Bailey Managing Director , provided The RAFT with a store layout of shop equipment and a general retail design service.

Julie Dee says “ Plan ~ net Uro, were able to offer a service to me that not only designed the aesthetics of the new store, but provided me with a practical merchandised layout and most importantly helped me purchase high quality fixtures & fittings at a price, significantly less than through other sources.”

“The previous shop was very cramped & dark and had last been revamped over 20 years ago, the new with its rear extension is bright and modern complete with new fridges, shelving, counter flooring & lighting is a pleasure to both work in and importantly shop from.”

Dennis set up Plan~net. Uro , in September 1999, with the aim of working with Independent northern retailers after 20+ years running larger companies supplying shop equipment to national retailers such as Co-operatives Societies / Tesco/Safeway/Superdrug etc.

Dennis says “Apart from the RAFT contract we provide our consultancy service, on Permanent basis to Penrith Co-operative Society, This work involved designing & planning updates to all their branches including re- branding store frontages & Internal new layouts & fixtures.”

Other recent projects include new store fit out for Brands Direct fashion & Household retailer in Wetherby & works @ Supreme Home & Fashion Wares Thornaby another long-term client.
