Marton Road Off licence, expands into Convenience store:

Belle Vue Off -licence of Marton Road are due to re-open it's doors @ the end of September, after a major shop extension. The previous corner shop will be over 4 times its original size and will now not only carry an expanded range of Beer wines & sprits, but will be providing its customers with News & magazines, Grocery & a General convenience range.

When it came to fitting out the bigger sales floor, Shop owner Mr P. Bashir chose Stockton Shop equipment Design & consultancy company Plan ~ net. Uro Ltd .

The company, who began its 5 th year of trading this month, consists of Dennis Bailey Managing Director & Freddie Farkle Innovations & Ideas Director , provided Mr. Bashir with a store layout of shop equipment and a general retail design service.

Mr. Bashir says “ Plan ~ net Uro, were able to offer a service to me that not only designed the aesthetics of the new store, but provided me with a practical merchandised layout and most importantly helped me purchase high quality fixtures & fittings at a price, significantly less than through other sources.”

Dennis & Freddie set up Plan~net. Uro , in September 1999, with the aim of working with Independent northern retailers after 20+ years running larger companies supplying shop equipment to national retailers such as Co-operatives Societies / Tesco/Safeway/Superdrug etc.

Freddie says “Apart from the Belle Vue contract we have provided our consultancy service, recently to Penrith Co-operative Society, for a number of stores in Co. Durham where the Society had taken over the previous Stanhope & Weardale Co-operative six branches. This work involved designing & planning updates including re- branding store frontages & Internal new layouts & fixtures.”
